RP will be offering free videos in several major cities, starting the beginning of 2008.
We have video taping/recording teams all set to go in 2008 for the following cities:
New York
LA
Miami
Houston
Boston
Chicago
San Francisco
Atlanta
& Las Vegas
We are obviously going for big cities so we can setup an efficient assembly process of property taping/editing so we can offer more free property videos. However, for other loations, the idea is that videographers from all over the country can signup, create a profile and start doing business with Realtorss throughout the nation. These videographers can obvioulsy be anywere, but won't be free. We do plan to offer coupons to get discounts with videographers in these less populated and more remote locations. The way that will work is we'll pay part of the editing/taping costs for you.
Anyway, keep us posted on what cities you would like to see get free videos first. Our plan is to start with New York, and quickly move to the 3 other cities with the highest need for videos. Factors that will also be considered are traffic, transportation, and the number of videos needed within a certain range. In other words, the way we're going to work is by doing lots of videos in certain neighborhoods in order to not waste time on transportation. We actually have a free video signup system implemented so that we can determine which neighborhoods have the most properties in need of tapings. We'll obviously then knock each neighborhood off one by one (or probably 3 by 3 or something).
